More than 8 billion doses of the vaccine has been administered to citizens in Nigeria. Majority if this has gone to priority individuals like people over the age of 60 years old, health workers and people who face specific health conditions like asthma, high blood pressure or pregnant mothers.

There have cases if side effects reported from the targeted audience that have been administered the vaccine like blood clots in women below the ages of 60 years old, body pains in the elderly and high insomnia from the rest of the group. It is quiet unfortunate that despite the vaccines which are to bring forth a cure and restore health lines to their normal levels, we still have a price to pay. Many ask, ‘what is the point of getting a vaccine when it feels like i have covid-19 all over again?’ ‘is there an end to this pain?’.

There are a lot of questions to be asked and a lot of things that are not unknown about this disease. Is the pain worth going through if we are liable to catch the disease again? or do we take a rest at our health just to save our own lives. In my personal opinion, I stand on the sides of the health workers and the government who have reassured us that this might be an end to our pain.
